Chad vs Jasper

Jasper and Chad both describe their agents as AI marketing teammates, but they start from different places. Jasper describes itself as an enterprise platform that connects AI search visibility to governed content work. Chad starts from your website's visibility in Google and AI answers, and fixes it from inside Slack.

The short version

  • Jasper is built around brand-governed content and campaigns at scale: brand voice, agents, a GEO Hub for AI visibility reports, and security features such as SSO on its Business plan. The customers it names include Accenture, Prudential, Cox Automotive and Ulta Beauty.
  • Chad is built for smaller teams who want the search-visibility work done for them: it finds what's holding the site back in Google and AI answers, ships the fixes through your developer workflow, and reports in Slack.
  • Choose Jasper if governed content production across a large team is the job. Choose Chad if you want your site's search and AI visibility fixed, without a platform rollout.

Where Jasper is stronger

Jasper is the more established platform, and it's strongest where governance matters. Brand voice, style guides, knowledge bases, role-based access, an audit log and SSO are the things a large marketing organisation needs before it lets an AI near its content, and Jasper lists them. It also covers more kinds of work than Chad does: content creation, translation, personalisation and campaigns.

If you're a larger team whose problem is producing a lot of consistent, on-brand content across markets and channels, Jasper is built for that. Its GEO Hub also means AI visibility reporting sits next to the content tools, in one place.

Where Chad is stronger

Chad is built for the team that doesn't have the capacity to run a platform. There's nothing to configure first: a 30-minute walkthrough, then an audit of your site, then the fixes. The work goes beyond reporting. Chad makes the technical and content changes (schema, crawlability, page structure, answers AI systems can quote) and ships them as reviewable pull requests through GitHub and Vercel.

The pricing is also simpler. It's a fixed monthly fee agreed up front, with no minimum term, no exit fee and no per-report credits. And the case studies show their working: the source, the date range and what we can't yet measure. See the Arros QD and Rocket Room write-ups.

Some teams will reasonably use both: Jasper to produce governed content at scale, and Chad to find and fix what stops that content being found and cited.

Which should you choose?

Choose Jasper if…

  • You're a larger marketing team and governed, on-brand content production is the job.
  • You need enterprise controls such as SSO/SAML, role-based access and an audit log.
  • You want content, translation and campaigns in one platform, with AI visibility reporting alongside.

Choose Chad if…

  • You're a small or mid-sized team and you want your site's search and AI visibility fixed for you.
  • You want changes shipped through your developer workflow, not only reports and drafts.
  • You'd rather pay a fixed monthly fee and have a human set it up with you than configure a platform.

How to test them fairly

Run the same task on both, on your real site: find the three biggest reasons you're not cited in AI answers, and fix one. Compare what each one actually changed on the site, not just what it reported.

With Jasper, check how many credits the reports and agent runs use. With Chad, start with the free scan and see what it finds before you commit to anything.
